How to stop Lab scale twin screw extruder?

After finished experiment, we can't stop the twin screw extruder immediately,we should stop the machine step by step.

1.Stop the feeding system.
2.If the twin screw extruder have Vacuum ventilation system,close the valves for vacuum piping and open the upper cover of the vocuum chamber.
3.Don't stop screw rotating directly. we should gradually reduce the rotating speed of the screw to remove the residue in the barrel as much as possible.
4.If the tested material is heat-sensitive materials that are easily to thermal and decomposed, the residual materials in the barrel should be replaced by polyolefin materials before stopping, after the materials are basically discharged then stop the extruder.

5.Stop the main motor cooling fan, oil pump, vacuum pump. Cut off the power switch of the heater in each section, and stop the auxiliary equipment such as pelletizer etc.
