How to clean the screw of twin screw extruder ？
We should clear the screw in certain time to make sure the extruder runs smoothly, how to clear it? here we introduce some method.
1.Resin cleaning method
Cleaning it with polyester resin or epoxy resin, generally speaking, this method suits the new mahine or extruders after using a period of time, due to part of the material remaining and gelatinizing in the screw or screw barrel, which makes the extrusion speed slower and cause large color difference when change the color. 
2. Disassemble and cleaning
a.Add the clean machine material to the feeder. when the color of the extrusion strip is the same as the clean material, stop feeding, emptying the material, stop the twin-screw extruder.
b.Open the die head and start cleaning
c.Turn the screw of the extruder and take out the hole plate, discharge the residual material in the barrel, and clean the hole plate;
d.Stop and pull out the screw and see whether it is clean, and remove the residual material on the screw if it has. Install the screw back; Add new material to wash the residual material in the barrel, stop the screw.
e.Install the hole plate and die head of the twin screw extruder.
3.Cleaning by brazing torch

It is a common and efficient method to clean the screw. after the screw stops work, we can clean it by brazing torch immidiately
